Russell Martin

Russell joined City National Rochdale in 2014. He partners with each client’s advisor to develop a customized portfolio based on the client’s investment objectives, time horizon, income needs, and risk tolerance. He is responsible for the investment strategy implementation and monitoring of private client portfolios, as well as direct relationship management.

He joined CNR after working in a variety of roles at Charles Schwab, including investment research, fund administration, portfolio management, and relationship management. Additionally, Mr. Martin worked as an analyst for Shareholder Representative Services, assisting venture capital clients with private sale transactions.

Mr. Martin earned his BS in Finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, as well as his MS in Financial Analysis & Investment Management from St. Mary’s College, where he graduated as Valedictorian. He is also a graduate of The Dale Carnegie Course on Human Relations and Communications. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM, and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® professional. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Houston.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, camping, and visiting national parks with his wife and their four children. He is also a competitive golfer and tennis player, participating in amateur tournaments and leagues hosted by the USGA and USTA.
